In Libre ABA, Aleister Crowley referred to it simply as "The Sword," being as it were The Sword to which all others might be compared. He it was who gave Mankind the exact shapes and proportions for the crafting of this Sword, which description our artisans have followed to the very letter.

Three massive Spheres, two defining the depth of the crossguard, one upheld as the pommel, form an equilateral triangle 7" on a side. Waxing and a waning Crescent Moons, their backs joined, their paired points held one from the other by the two Spheres, complete the specifications for the guard. Seen from pommel or point, the crescents reveal themselves to be in the form of  the Vesica Piscis and to contain within each, a broad-rayed Sunburst.

The balance-point of The Sword is not in any wise like that of other swords, the which will scarcely surprise the knowledgeable. Indeed, with the three solid Spheres defining the Triangle of the massive hilt being each fully 1¼" in diametre, it could not possibly be otherwise. The wielder would do well to note that he should take the time necessary to become familiar with the heft and balance of The Sword, for he is unlikely to have previously handled a weapon that is in any wise like unto it.

The Sword is in some venues known as the "Infamous Seven Elements Sword," due to the practice of having it made out of the seven planetary metals. Crowley wisely described this conceit as "...a phantasy and affectation." The Sword has in fact a blade of high-quality carbon stainless steel 24" in length, with a length overall of 31". The pommel of The Sword is bronze, likewise the guard also, but the entire hilt bears a core of copper. The grip is crafted of natural leather, closely and tightly wrapped in pure copper wire. "Steel is the metal of Mars, as copper is of Venus . . . The hilt is of Venus, for Love is the motive of this ruthless analysis . . ."

It is absolutely necessary that this weapon be shipped unsharpened, though once it is in your possession you will find that the entire blade will take a keen edge, and will hold it well. The accompanying sleek and unpretentious Black Leather Scabbard, with belt loop, is sufficiently sturdy for the weight of this powerful implement, and is provided at no additional charge.
